Las Iguanas London - Royal Festival Hall

London’s Southbank Centre is home to a slice of Latin American life, at Las Iguanas situated on Festival Terrace. Join us for Havana Lounge – Latin grooves from 11pm ‘til late Wednesday-Saturday with 2FOR1 on classic Caipirinhas from 11pm. Las Iguanas Royal Festival Hall is the perfect place for pre-show food and drinks, adding exciting Latin vibes to your night out. Join us on London's Southbank for this New Year's Eve fiesta & choose from three fabulous party packages, including Silver, Gold & Platinum - all of which are certain to have you entering 2018 in true Latin American style. All tickets include a complimentary cocktail, Canapés & a glass of champagne to enjoy on our terrace while the fireworks light up London's night sky at midnight.

We live for food, and to bring food alive – with an irresistible bolt of Latin American energy. We rise at the crack of dawn to unload boxes of top-quality, fresh British produce. Then our chefs add carefully sourced ingredients from around the world, to conjure delicious, authentic South American food, made with passion, love and lots of Latin magic. Our food pulses with its exotic 16th Century roots – a mouth-watering confusion of native Latin American Indian, Spanish, Portuguese and African influences. Las Iguanas is an adventure. You’ll discover new tastes, and fall in love with new favourites – and feel the warmth and welcome of South America.

ETHOS

Our ethos is refreshingly simple. We want to bring authentic South America to every table, every day – in a place that lives and breathes Latin. We use the freshest food, and the highest quality ingredients. We source from the best possible places – and try to be GM free. We’ve been with some of our suppliers for many years, and proudly support native South American businesses, like our coffee supplier, Daterra (who are Rainforest Alliance certified), and our cachaça partners, Magnifica, who grow our very own organic sugar cane – mixed only with local spring water during distillation.

Of course we take the same care of our people – our most important ingredient. Our outstanding training and development is way above the industry standard and backed up by our Investors in People Gold Award.

We work hard to ensure our menu is fully inclusive with a choice of halal and non-halal dishes, gluten free dishes and a separate vegetarian and vegan menu. Our chicken (excluding kids Chicken bites), lamb & duck are halal in all of our branches, other meats are not halal including beef and chorizo. All halal poultry and meat is pre-stunned in line with EU guidelines and our commitment to animal welfare.

Eggs – where they come from and our policy: Las Iguanas understands the importance of good animal welfare standards. We work in close partnership with our suppliers to ensure our animal welfare policy and its requirements are followed at all times. We source eggs for our kitchens from the UK and these are all free range and produced to the UK Lion Mark, which guarantees high standards of food safety and traceability. Suppliers of eggs used as ingredients such as bakery products comply with all EU and UK legislation on the welfare of laying hens and the use of enrichment systems.

In addition, they also comply with independent accreditation standards (such as ISO 14001) and farm assurance, which are equally important to us. As with many other food companies and restaurant groups, we continually seek, and listen to, advice from welfare organisations, independent experts and supply partners as to the best approach in moving to ever-higher standards and welfare systems.

The sustainable sourcing of our food is hugely important to us as part of the Casual Dining Group and a key criteria in developing menus across the portfolio of restaurants. We require all suppliers to source fish products from sustainable fisheries, and some have already started the process of having these products independently certified. We've recently been awarded a Three Blue Fish Fish2fork rating for our sustainable sourcing, and our aim is for all fish products to be sustainably certified as soon as operationally possible. Our suppliers can provide evidence of sourcing from well managed sustainable fisheries and any relevant certification at any given time to support this commitment. In addition to this, we do not use or will accept any red-rated endangered fish species in any of our dishes.

We are working on a plan to ensure that the work done to date and our future commitments are clearly communicated to our customers. As part of this, we hope to work with the Marine Stewardship Council to better understand what needs to be done to ensure we can use the MSC label in our communications in a proper and accurate way. We are committed to ensuring that information about how and where our fish is sourced from is readily available through menus, websites and through our restaurant teams. We are always pleased to answer any queries you may have about the menu.

I took my disabled father, whom I had brought for a birthday dinner over here. He was in a wheelchair. I was very impressed by how this restaurant staff catered for and treated my father. The food was excellent – we shared several startes and a main meal. The ambience was excellent, and from the crowds here, you could see it was a popular restaurant.
