All New York State Parks, including Niagara Falls State Park, are committed to remaining accessible for all visitors.
All newly built or newly renovated facilities and trails, as well as newly developed programs and services adhere to the most current standards for accessible design, as applicable. Most recently, Niagara Falls State Park underwent major improvements, including new ADA-compliant routes, overlooks, picnic tables and parking on Goat Island.
Wheelchairs may be used wherever pedestrians are allowed and available complimentary on a first-come, first-served basis at Niagara Falls State Park. Guests are encouraged to visit the Visitor Center directly at Niagara Falls State Park or the police station on Goat Island to request a wheelchair. Limited quantities are available.
Service dogs are welcome wherever patrons are permitted to go regardless of other pet policies unless it poses a danger to the public utilizing the facilities.
Niagara Falls State Park attractions and venues that are accessible to persons with mobility-type disabilities include Maid of the Mist, the Observation Tower, Niagara Adventure Theater, Niagara Scenic Trolley, Niagara Gorge Discovery Center, the Niagara Falls Visitor Center and Top of the Falls Restaurant. Please note that Cave of the Winds offers limited access.
