Museo de la Xocolata is a private museum in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, owned by the Gremi de Pastisseria de Barcelona. The museum opened in 2000, at Carrer Comerç 36, in El Born, Ciutat Vella, on the ground level of an old barracks

The Chocolate Museum is a space divided into eight different areas:
Shop-Cafeteria : A space to taste hot or cold chocolate accompanied by an exquisite bakery of elaboration of its own and to buy the best specialties of chocolate, both national and international.
Cocoa and chocolate : The whole process is explained, from the cacauer seed until cocoa becomes chocolate: where cocoa comes from, how is it grown, where we can find it, the existing varieties, the process of manufacture, etc.
Chocolate, bridge between cultures : We find the history of cocoa and chocolate from its origins in the Maya-Aztec world, through its arrival in Spain, entry into Europe and ending with industrialization.
Art and creation : Chocolate as a source of inspiration for art and culture.
Pastry and chocolate : The transformation of chocolate into works of art by the best masters of pastry and chocolate makers.
Audiovisuals : In this area we can know the history of chocolate in an interactive and visual way.
Machinery : A tour of the main machines related to the work of chocolate.
Sala Barcelona : This is the place where you can see stunning chocolate figures and understand that they are part of the pastry tradition of Catalonia.
Activities : The museum offers a wide range of activities, both for schools and for the general public, whether they are children or adults. For each of the activities you have to make a previous reservation.
In addition, we also have a garden and different rooms to celebrate all kinds of events.
