Knockquhassen Farm B&B is just 2.5 miles from Stranraer, and 6 miles from Cairnryan, the ferry port for Northern Ireland. We are situated in the hills to the west of Stranraer, close to Knockquhassen Reservoir, on the Southern Upland Way.
At Knockquhassen Farm you will find peaceful seclusion, stunning panoramic views, good food and a very warm welcome! We have 2 rooms available for guests, one upstairs and one downstairs, both with ensuite showers.
Although no longer a working farm, Knockquhassen Farm is home to our animals (cats, horses and hens) and is surrounded by farmland. We welcome well-behaved dogs (with their owners!) and have flexible accommodation to suit most needs. They can have access the gardens surrounding the house and there are numerous lovely walks direct from the house, or within a short drive.
Bed
Great local Scottish food awaits you for breakfast but before that the all-important sleeping arrangements!
We have two B&B rooms, both ensuite; a double upstairs with lovely views and a large twin room downstairs. The twin beds in the downstairs room can be converted to a super-king size bed on request at time of booking.
Disabled access
There are 2 steps up to the front door, but the downstairs bedroom and sunroom are all on one level and doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs. Parts of the garden are on the level although there are some steps.
Dog Friendly
Dogs are very welcome to stay here and although we have 3 cats, they generally keep themselves to themselves when guests are staying. Please ring to discuss any particular requirements you have for your dog(s). Please see separate page for further details.
