Tebay Services (Southbound) Tebay Services (Southbound), Westmorland Place, Orton, Penrith CA10 3SB, United Kingdom

Tebay Services are motorway service stations on the M6 motorway in the Eden district of Cumbria, England. The northbound opened in 1972 and the southbound in 1993.

We’re delighted to support the World’s Original Marmalade Awards by running Marmalade Exchanges in our Farmshops.

Members of the public who want to enter their homemade marmalade to be judged in the awards – held at Dalemain in Cumbria (right) – can drop it off in any of our Farmshops. In return our colleagues will give them a jar of Dalemain marmalade – made to the family recipe of Marmalade Awards founder Jane Hasell-McCosh, who featured in Episode 4 of A Lake District Farmshop, the Channel 4 documentary about Tebay Services.

ACCESSIBILITY

Tebay Northbound is fully wheelchair accessible with a disabled toilet. Tebay Southbound is wheelchair accessible except for one section of the Kitchen dining area, which is on a lower level and accessed by steps. Entrance and exit doors are automatic.

Wheelchairs are available to use during your visit. Please call ahead on 015396 24511 to arrange for one of our colleagues to meet you on arrival.

Disabled toilets are located in the main buildings and Filling Stations at Northbound and Southbound.

FAMILIES

In our Kitchen, kids eat real food, just like adults.

We make our food from scratch as you would make it at home, using real ingredients including meat from our farm. Most of our hot dishes come in children’s portions and cost just £1 for under 12s when bought with an adult hot meal after 11.30am.

High-chairs are available on request.

Our Kitchen has a family station for handwashing, bottle warming and microwaving.

We sell Ella’s Kitchen baby food.

We have indoor soft play areas on both sides of the motorway* and an outdoor willow play tunnel (Southbound).

Our dog walks at Northbound and Southbound are ideal for short family strolls. Enjoy views across the Howgill Fells and look out for red squirrels, roe deer and the birds that use our nest boxes.

At Tebay Northbound the woodland picnic area is a safe, traffic-free space in which families can relax. We also have picnic seating beside our duck pond, home to our resident runner ducks and visiting wild mallards.

Parent-and-child parking is provided in our main car park.

Our family toilets have adults’ and children’s WCs and changing tables.

TOILETS

The toilets in our main buildings are open 24 hours a day, including disabled toilets and parent-and-child toilets (with changing tables).

SHOWERS

Showers are available 24 hours a day. Please ask one of our Quick Kitchen colleagues for the key (own soap and towel required).

PARKING

We have dedicated spaces for disabled parking, parent-and-child parking and motorbike parking.

Overnight parking (caravans, motorhomes and HGVs) is available for £18 per night, including a £3 voucher for our Farmshop & Kitchen. Please pay for overnight parking at the Quick Kitchen in our main building. Display your ticket clearly inside your vehicle.

Please note there is no water, waste disposal or electric hook-up for caravans and motorhomes. Free 24-hour toilets and showers are available inside our main building.

DOGS

Water bowls are available at our front entrances. We regret that dogs may not enter our main buildings unless they are assistance dogs.

Our Dog Walks at Northbound and Southbound are family-friendly traffic-free short routes offering splendid views across the Howgill Fells. Please keep your dogs on a lead and use the poo bins provided.
