Situated on the shores of Strangford Lough and accessed by a causeway across the sea, Daft Eddy’s is a family run business with a local focus and direct shoreline access.

The restaurant, bar and coffee shop offer lough-side views, indoor and outdoor dining and a warm welcome to all.

A fully licensed restaurant and bar, serving contemporary and wholesome food, our menus are designed around sourcing the best of the readily available local and seasonal produce of Northern Ireland, both land and sea.

Alongside the restaurant sits Little Eddy’s coffee shop, open for breakfast and lunch, with indoor and outdoor seating and the opportunity to purchase local art and crafts.

Both areas are family orientated and offer cyclists and dog owners the space to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings and a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The largest sea lough in the British Isles, Strangford Lough is a unique and wonderful place and one of only three designated marine reserves in the United Kingdom. From our island location you can enjoy views , across the water to the basking seals and wading birds, including herons and white egrets on Hen Island, to the iconic Petrel lightship moored in the bay.

The restaurant is located next to the ruins of Sketrick Castle, one of the massive fortresses built in the Middle Ages to defend the area from seafaring invaders. A 20-minute walk on the marked path around the island affords uninterrupted views across the lough from Scrabo Tower to Kircubbin on a fine day.

Nestling off Sketrick Island in Strangford Lough this famous bar and restaurant is within a couple of minutes stroll from Strangford Lough Yacht Club. Renowned for its fresh food and wonderful hospitality Daft Eddy's offers fresh oysters and lobster (pre-ordered) along with daily fresh seafood and a host of other dishes all using local produce. Only 10 mins from Comber and Killyleagh so why not drop in and enjoy our fabulous menu selection.
