Columbia State Historic Park, also known as Columbia Historic District, is a state park unit and National Historic Landmark District preserving historic downtown Columbia, California, United States. It includes almost 30 buildings built during the California Gold Rush, most of which remain today.

Park Exhibits open daily 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Most merchants are open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Parking and entrance to Columbia State Historic Park are free. Additional fees may apply for special events in the park. 

Columbia State Historic Park preserves a Gold Rush-era business district with shops, restaurants and two hotels. Proprietors in period clothing conduct business in the style of yesterday. The park is 3 miles north of Sonora, off Highway 49.

There are several accessible parking areas, but the most popular spot is the lot near Broadway Street and Columbia Street. The accessible parking space near the picnic area a is your best bet, as it’s close to an accessible boardwalk which leads up to Washington Street. Accessible parking is also available on Jackson Street, across from the St. Charles Saloon, and on State Street, behind the Columbia House Restaurant.

Picnic Area
Accessible picnicking and an accessible restroom are available near the lower parking lot. Accessible picnic sites are also located on Jackson Street near the corner of Jackson and Colombia Street.

Exhibits/Programs
Walkways throughout this historic town have been raised and leveled to create accessible boardwalks and building entrances, however some uneven surfaces remain where routes cross roadways. Doorways have been modified for accessibility including push button openers where necessary to open heavy double doors. Assistance is available inside shops to help reach sales items.

Other Information
Accessible parking is available in the lower lot and in lots located at Columbia and Jackson, on Fulton off Broadway, at each of three lots along Broadway Street, at the Schoolhouse and across the street from the District Office.
