Belle Green has recently been re-furbished to offer three en-suite guest rooms with views overlooking the village of Near Sawrey where Beatrix Potter wrote her famous children’s books.
It is the home of Steve and Ann Crabtree, formally of the Sawrey Hotel, which they ran with Ann’s parents David and Sheila Brayshaw and brother James. Situated on the west side of Lake Windermere it is the ideal base to explore the Lake District National Park, do some walking or climbing, or maybe just stroll down to the village pub.
Dogs are very welcome and we are open all year round.
Rooms
We have two rooms with king size beds and one twin room, all with en-suite bathrooms. All our rooms are newly furnished and presented beautifully, fully equiped with flat screen tv and tea and coffee making facilities.
The king size beds have memory foam mattresses and the bed linen is Egyptian cotton.
Each room is named after the three local tarns, 'Moss Eccles', 'Wiseen' and 'Three Dubs' and the views from the windows overlook Near Sawrey and Hill Top.
The rooms are warm and cosy, two are with en suite showers and one has a bath with shower overhead.
