Introduction / Description
Tucked away in the old French Quarter between Queen and Chalmers, at 27 State Street, sits a well-preserved specimen of early 1800’s living.
As you step through the iron gate of this 1814 residence and into the charming first floor courtyard, notice the pronounced Old World influence of the architecture and decor, and allow yourself to be transported back to a time when horses, carriages, seafarers, and gentry lined the streets of this oldest of South Carolina’s cities. As you wander up to the open-air second floor, run your hand along the patina’d stair-rail, and enjoy the smell of jasmine blooms in the warm southern air.
A flat-screen cable TV and en suite bathroom are provided. All rooms feature hardwood floors and antique furnishings at 27 State Street Bed and Breakfast.
Guests lounge on the terrace or ask the concierge for advice on area attractions. A complimentary bottle of wine is provided for all reservations.
