Barn-gill House is a Lakeland stone barn conversion, the origin of the barn being 1867, which is situated in the small hamlet of Brotto, Thirlmere and set back off the A591 road amidst beautiful scenery including "Fisher-gill Waterfall and the Helvellyn Range" of mountains on which the Lakeland breed of Herdwick sheep graze.
We offer 2 double en-suite rooms on a Bed and Breakfast basis of a high standard which can also be used as a twin or single. Due to the location, peace and tranquility, there is an abundance of wild life, many guests come year after year, returning as friends. We are reknown for our excellent food and are open all year. Terms are available on request. From the property walks of all grades and levels are accessible, also cycling and touring with National and Local coach stops nearby.
Each guest room is en suite, with a shower, hairdryer and complementary toiletries provided. All rooms have a TV with DVD player, fridge and tea and coffee facilities.
