Cornwall’s a place like no other: a delicious melting pot of artists, artisan food producers, traditional farming and modern methods. We’ve been immersed in this diversity ever since our founder, Steve Grocutt, opened his first store in Mevagissey, where the pasties won over hard-to-please locals. And we’ve been growing ever since, not just surprising, delighting and communicating with our customers, but winning awards too. Our Cornwall state of mind has seen us scoop – among others – a Design Business Association (DBA) award, as well as a Food and Beverage (FAB) prize for our interiors and, of course, being named makers of The World’s Best Pasty.
Years on, the ethos – to help you create your own Cornish moment – is unchanged, but with the years have come the confidence and expertise to bake an ever-wider range of truly delicious, fresh , award-winning food, and to make it available nationwide.
Our buttery Breton treats are prepared and proved overnight and baked on the same day: the way the French like them is how we like them too. And even if it means an early start for us to get them ready for opening, time spent making our pastries amazing is always time well spent.

Aside from their freshness and our expertise, pasty perfection arises from ingredients. So our potatoes, onions and swedes are grown on Cornish farms, and our beef, wherever possible, is reared here too. And because of the variety of fillings we offer, whatever we can’t find on our doorstep we source the best from around the world.
