Founded in May 2018 by owner Jane Reilly who has lived in the beautiful village of Alrewas for over 20 years, the building was once the Midland Bank, hence the name. With the focus on freshly roasted coffee, The Bank has become a hub of the community and meeting point for cyclists and walkers. The food is all locally sourced with the jams and cakes made in the village, bacon and sausages from Coates butchers just across the road and the dressings and crisps from Just Crisps in Hill Ridware.
Coffee
The Bank Coffehouse serves medium roast Dark Woods specialty coffee, carefully crafted in the heart of the Yorkshire Moors.
The finest grade Arabica beans are sourced from a selection of family estates and small-holder producers from across the Tropics. Beans from Brazil and India are added to the roast to develop maxium sweetness and body, and then beans from Ethopia are post-blended to add citrusy freshness and floral aromatics.
