The Royal Shakespeare Company is a major British theatre company, based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England. The company employs over 1,000 staff and produces around 20 productions a year. The RSC plays regularly in London, Newcastle upon Tyne, and on tour across the UK and internationally.

We perform plays by Shakespeare, his contemporaries and by today's writers in Stratford-upon-Avon, London and on tour.

ROYAL SHAKESPEARE THEATRE

This is our main theatre where we regularly perform Shakespeare's plays and other works.

Situated on Waterside, alongside the River Avon, the 1,018-seat Royal Shakespeare Theatre is our main thrust stage auditorium.

A Grade II listed building which retains many of the art deco features of the 1932 Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, it re-opened in November 2010 after a three-year transformation project.

We want everything we do to be accessible to all our audiences, and are looking for ways to break down barriers so more people can enjoy theatre at its best.

There are disabled parking bays opposite the theatre and in the surrounding streets.

ACCESSIBLE THEATRE

We want as many people as possible to experience theatre at its best at the RSC. As well as having wheelchair and transfer seats for all our shows, we keep front row seats free for people who have difficulties seeing or hearing, and we run assisted performances for all our shows

EXHIBITIONS AND EVENTS

We run regular events and exhibitions throughout our theatres. If you're not sure whether you can come or take part, then please get in touch and we'll do our best to make it happen.

FOOD AND DRINK

Whether you are at the RSC in Stratford for a quick coffee, three course meal or would like to arrange a special event we can cater to your needs. Our cafes, bars and Rooftop Restaurant on the fourth floor of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre are all accessible. 

TOURS AND TOWER VISITS
