The Vondelpark is a public urban park of 47 hectares in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is part of the borough of Amsterdam-Zuid and situated west from the Leidseplein and the Museumplein.

The Vondel Park is a great place for a relaxing stroll in the centre of Amsterdam. 

Not directly in the news, but still worth a visit:

  • The Pavilion, which is now a cultural center, operated by AVRO, AT5 and PAROOL
  • The image of Joost van den Vondel, which the park takes its name. Now with blooming tulips
  • The Blue Teahouse, sleek architecture of the 30s
  • The Bandstand
  • The Milk House, where you can sit inside, terrace, and a children's play area
  • The Picasso Picture
  • The Rosarium, a rose garden
  • The Vondeltuin with Candy Thatched roof terrace
