Wales Millennium Centre is an arts centre located in the Cardiff Bay area of Cardiff, Wales. The site covers a total area of 4.7 acres
The Wales Millennium Centre is an accessible space. All main access points for the public have an automatic or push button door at first point of entry.
Lifts are situated at either end of the concourse and have access to all levels.
There are induction loops at all key counters - tickets and information, stage door, Urdd reception, merchandise positions and all main bars
There are up to 22 spaces for wheelchair users in the main auditorium, which can be available at every performance. They are in the front stalls, raised stalls, circle and upper circle. When booking a wheelchair space please let ticket office of any particular requirements, including companion requirements.
The Weston Studio
There is only one public entrance to the Weston Studio. It is located on Level 1 South (Glanfa) and can be reached by taking the south staircase or lift to Level 1.
Seating in the Weston Studio is unreserved. There is space for 4 wheelchair users each with two companions on the flat in front of the tiered seating
Wheelchair
We have a number of wheelchairs available free of charge. These can be booked through ticket office on 029 2063 6464. Wheelchairs can be collected from the information point on the Angorfa concourse (North)
Accessible toilets
There are fully accessible unisex toilets located on both sides of the auditorium and on each level. There are an equal number of left and right side transfers.
Wheelchair unisex toilets are equipped with an alarmed pull cord in case of emergency.
All public toilets and changing facilities have tactile pictograms with Braille (English and Welsh) indicating whether they are male / female / accessible.
Baby Changing Facilities
Facilities are available in the Glanfa toilets located off of the South concourse. There are changing facilities in the ladies toilets as well as in the accessible toilets.
Changing Places Facilities
A Changing Places toilet is available in the Glanfa toilets, located off of the South concourse. This toilet has more space than our other accessible unisex toilets, and contains baby changing facilities as well as a ceiling hoist and adult changing bench. It is also equipped with an alarmed pull cord in case of emergency.
Public Payphone
The public payphone is situated on the Glanfa concourse by the stairs. This concourse is to the right of the main ticket counter. The payphone has a text keyboard and induction coupler. The payphone is at a height suitable for wheelchair users.
Taxis
The Information desk will order a taxi on behalf of disabled customers if required. Taxis are able to drop off / pick up from the rear entrance to the Centre where the accessible parking is located.
