From the brains behind the Award-winning Moubment Group comes The Defiant Duck, an American-style eatery that overlooks the Gasworks gasometer in Newstead. Patrons are invited to use the light-filled restaurant as they see fit; grab a stool at one of the central high tables and order a craft beer or tap wine or spend the afternoon in the alfresco area grazing on innovative fare inspired by the USA, like Coca-Cola wagyu beef ribs.
Located in the Gasworks precinct, The Duck serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. But if you’re up the creek and in need of a fast fix, there is also a take-away food offering and express coffee window to duck in and out.
To complement the delicious dishes coming out of the kitchen, the bar offers 24 craft and local beers on tap, as well as three wine taps and an extensive bottled wine selection. Diners are invited to spread their wings, quack open a bevvy, overlook the greenery of the Gasometer and indulge in everything The Duck has to offer!
