Oxford 152 is the largest pub in Bulimba's Oxford Street, and after a stylish and expensive revamp, it is probably one of the better establishments in which to enjoy a refreshing drink and the view. Overlooking one of the busier sections of Oxford Street and slightly elevated above street level, the bar affords a good vantage point to watch the comings and goings of the local Bulimba socialites. The restaurant space offers outdoor dining and an open-air dining room with elevated ceilings and a spacious feel. During the week it is a perfect spot to enjoy a spot of sun and a casual lunch. On weekends it is a great place to catch up with friends, enjoy a meal and then retire to the bar to partake in the party atmosphere.
The menu is a modern Australian gem that takes advantage of local produce. Oysters are on offer, as are hand-made spring rolls stuffed with fresh sand crab and shallots served with a hoi sin dipping sauce. Fresh salads and tasty pastas are available, as well as some interesting mains. Try the melt-in-your-mouth Bobby veal pan-fried with forest mushrooms, duo potato bake, zucchini straws and parmesan. Of course, as with all pubs, there is a section dedicated to sumptuous steaks, all of which come with vegetables or salad and a choice of sauces.

Meals good – service quick – menu available, ordering & payment through QR code – all very impersonal – no greeting or welcome on arrival – no subsequent follow up or enquiry on whether our experience was ok or otherwise – or – whether we wished to order something else. – no way of conveying particular dietary requirement through the QR code ordering process (that we could see) – had to find a staff member to make an enquiry. ( our preference would be to talk to & be assured by a staff member about such matters) – otherwise enjoyable. We were dining there on Trivia night – very noisy. Staff pleasant & responsive when approached.
Experience could be enhanced by more person to person contact.
