The Peace and Plenty Inn is a magnificently restored Victorian villa (circa 1880), situated in an unbeatable waterfront location in the heart of the historic maritime village of Devonport. Our location gives you the best of both worlds; easy access to white sandy beaches, restaurants, cafes and boutique shopping and yet only minutes by ferry to the city centre.
We invite you to stay at our gracious home offering comfortable and friendly luxury accommodation. We host visitors who come to relax from all over the world, along with New Zealanders enjoying a weekend away. We are also able to hold boutique weddings and Victorian High Teas.

Windsor
This is our largest king-size room. It has a special veranda style Victorian bathroom with the stain-glass window and claw foot bath with shower overhead displaying great character. The beautiful wallpaper compliments the style and colour scheme and ensure the luxury to the eye that one would expect of such a home's grandest suite. The ornate cast iron fireplace and antique pine furnishing complete the comfort for you stay.
Albert
Our King-size willow blue room complemented by silver furnishings boasts the largest bathroom of the house complete with claw foot bath and separate shower. It has a traditional cast iron fireplace and pine furnishings. The white iron bedstead with crowned organza is the central feature of the room.
Devonport
This King-size room is a must for those who love the European romantic look. It has a beautiful French provincial bed together with a matching French armoire and chest of drawers, which is complimented by gold satin and cream organza. The kauri fireplace is a feature of this room Please note this room has a small compact bathroom. It also has views over the Windsor Park and 'Albert', Devonport's historic Moreton Bay Fig Tree that proudly stands tall over the village library roof.
Garden
The Garden Room has its own private courtyard and entry. This is a self contained room with Fridge, Sink Unit, and Microwave provided.You have the choice of a Superking Bed or a Twin Bed complimented by an unusual French Headboard. The furnishings are French Provicial in style.The Garden is Sub-tropical with a lovely collection of Palm trees, Stag Horns and bromeliods enjoy an morning coffee evening glass of wine listening to the smoothing sound of water trickling over our rock pools.
Flagstaff
This Super King or King/twin bedded French provincial blue & cream room is ideal for travelling companions, children or single guests. It has views towards the beach and harbour especially beautiful in summertime when our Pohutukawa trees display their fluffy red blooms for Christmas. The ensuite bathroom is small and compact in size, it is nautical in design complete with porthole window.
Waitemata
The Waitemata room has cream and gold colour scheme. Your eye will lead through the Kauri French doors to the flower pots on the private balcony which enjoys all day sunshine. You will enjoy unhindered views of Mount Victoria and the roof tops of Devonport, the Waitemata views extend to the Harbour, Bridge & City. The bathroom has a pretty clay tiled floor shower.
Victoria
The Victoria room boasts a turqouise and cream colour theme Your eye leads you through the Kauri French doors to the flower pots on their private balcony which enjoys all day sunshine. You have unhindered views of Mount Victoria and the roof tops of Devonport, and you can overlook the Waitemata harbour. The bathroom has a pretty clay tiled floor and a great shower.
