Merriweather Cafe's name itself depicts fun, smooth-sailing dining in South Brisbane. This bodes well with simple wholesome insides, and ethically sourced all-look-good dishes. Omelettes rock with goats cheese, smoked salmon and kale, or oily chorizo with feta. Folds of lush scrambled egg with pork belly vie against glossy wobbling orbs of poached googs with duck ham. Chocolate milkshakes come with fresh mint, and crumpets with macadamia ice cream are house-made.
Merriweather is a space designed for the customer to enjoy great food and coffee. The menu is dictated by our suppliers, heavily influenced by the offerings of local group which sources all of their produce from local small holding and experienced organic farmers. Our pursuit for new seasonal food is showcased in our simple but ever changing all day brunch and lunch menus. Everything we can possibly produce at a high quality is made in house, including all our jams and relishes.
We use coffee from Coffee Supreme in Woolloongabba. We serve the Origin Blend which is based on Ethiopian coffees giving it a full distinct flavour.
