Located just off the A303 at Sparkford in Somerset the Museum currently offers 19 individual exhibitions and it is very much a “Museum in Motion” with tours, talks and activities for families, children and enthusiasts alike. Packed with precious metal, the Haynes International Motor Museum is truly a world class motor museum.

The Haynes International Motor Museum is located at Sparkford in Somerset and is an Educational Charitable Trust dedicated to restoring, retaining and preserving motoring and motorcycling items of historical and cultural interest in England.

It is an International Motor Museum as the Trustees take the view that the complete history of the automobile and motorcycle can only be covered by looking at the developments from all over the world.

The museum is home to over 400 cars and bikes, dating from 1886 to the present day making it the largest museum in the UK. Almost every car in the museum is driven at least once a year as they believe preserving this important motoring heritage correctly means that all vehicles must be maintained in full working order.

There is lots on display and visitors are able get up close to the exhibits. The museum have made a number of improvements around the site making it far more accessible for people with limited mobility.

It is possible to arrange guided tours and these are free for groups comprising of 15 or more members. If you are visiting the museum and have a visual impairment you can ask for a guide to conduct you around the site.
