Prince Of Wales Prince Of Wales, Hartfield Mansions, 2 Hartfield Rd, Wimbledon, London SW19 3TA, UK

Formerly a coaching inn and highwayman's refuge, now a pub with a flagstone cellar bar & kitchen.

Prince of Wales is the perfect venue for your celebration, meeting or event. We can cater for all your needs with our great range of food, drink and facilities to ensure your event is a success.

The Prince of Wales is a handsome,19th-century pub located in the heart of the charming southwest London suburb of Wimbledon. The pub sits on the site of an old coaching inn that dates back to the 17th century, when travellers would rest their horses in the cellar.

The pub is situated right in the centre of the bustling city suburb of Wimbledon, which is a key transport hub in southwest London. You cannot miss the striking exterior of the pub as you leave the train station, with it’s Victorian façade and handsome clock that sits higher than any of the surrounding walls. Both commuters and local residents and workers stop by at the pub to enjoy food and drink, aswell as shoppers often after a spending spree in Centre Court, the modern shopping centre over the road, or Ely’s, one of London’s oldest department stores

Wimbledon also draws in sports fans from around London, the UK and even the world for its Tennis tournament. You don’t need to have court tickets to enjoy the action, however, as the many screens available in the Prince of Wales mean that you can watch the latest football, rugby and, of course, tennis in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Try something from our range of craft beers while cheering on your favourite player.

Head downstairs in the Prince of Wales to find our multipurpose function room, Bertie’s Bar, which is perfectly equipped to host any type of booking and is infact the only cellar bar in the whole of Wimbledon. This spacious cellar boasts flagstone floors, multiple TVs and a private bar stocked with all your drinks favourites to suit your event. In the past, Bertie’s has been used for formal dining and drinks parties of up to 100 people on the one hand, and as a live music and DJ venue on the other. Whatever the occasion we look forward to welcoming your function to the Prince of Wales.
