Breathing a sense of Jamaican fun into Brunswick Street is The Rum Diary, an intimate bar harbouring over 50 kinds of that tropical spirit. Warm recycled wood finishes and moody lighting create a cosy environment, with sailor memorabilia from maps to sailing ships dotted throughout the space. The menu is a comforting mix of jaffles and a line of small goods made exclusively by butcher Simon Poole. Not a rum lover? Never fear; wine, beers and all the usual spirits are found here too.
