Welcome to the Eddrachilles Hotel in NW Sutherland. Our small, owner-managed Highlands hotel is open all year offering comfortable accommodation and good food in a magnificent wilderness setting.
Eddrachilles Hotel is an authentic Highland hotel. The charm and character of the eighteenth century former manse has been carefully retained, with original stone walls and flagstone floors featured in the dining rooms.
The bedroom accommodation was sympathetically reconfigured when the property changed from a genteel Highland home to a small hotel. A sun lounge overlooking the sea was also added allowing our guests to enjoy views over the bay regardless of the weather.

With its own extensive grounds leading to the shore of beautiful Badcall Bay, the views from the hotel include the majestic mountain Quinaig, gentle moorland hills and brightly painted fishing boats. Six of our ten guest bedrooms have sea views over Badcall Bay while four overlook the hotel’s courtyard garden.
As in many heritage west coast Highland houses, the bedrooms of this former manse were designed for comfort and cosiness rather than grandeur. The decor is simple and traditional rather than opulent. Taking over in March 2016, the new owners have commenced a programme of refurbishments and are steadily enhancing guest services. Over the next few years Fiona and Richard will put their own stamp on the accommodation while retaining the building’s traditional charm and the appeal of a Highland home.
All of our rooms have en-suites with bath or shower, the ensuites in the sea view bedrooms were refurbished in January 2017. Each bedroom can comfortably accommodate two people, three of them are double rooms (Kingsize beds) and seven rooms can be set as double (SuperKing) OR twin rooms as required. A few rooms have space for a cot or small child bed but none are large enough for an additional adult bed.
