The original cafe in a string that involves Richmond's Friends of Mine, Hawthorn's iconic Porgie and Mr Jones has grown up a little since inception all those years ago. Still an eclectic eatery by day, Porgie and Mr Jones transforms into a sophisticated restaurant on Friday and Saturday night, serving modern interpretations of European comfort food in intimate, candlelit surrounds. The recent opening of Porgie Next Door for private dinner parties can also accommodate up to 24 diners. Refined cafe meals in a hip locale with distressed walls and bare bulbs, plus a courtyard.
