Bryn Elltyd Eco Guest House is the original 1883 mine manager’s house for the Wrysgan slate quarry. However, it has been sensitively and extensively modified to provide modern, environmentally friendly and accessible accommodation for guests.
We have ample off road car parking, with charging available for mobility scooters and wheelchairs, from our electric car charging points.
The guesthouse has two entrances, one with 4 shallow steps and the other without any steps.
On the ground floor there are two steps that link a change of ground level but all facilities are available on each floor.
The Wrysgan Room is an en-suite room with a large, walk-in shower room on the ground floor.
A selection of firm and well lit paths provide wheelchair access to the surrounding countryside and mountains.
Our daughter is an occasional wheelchair user and we have many years experience of teaching disabled students so we can offer practical solutions to many of the common problems encountered on holiday. We can also provide extensive knowledge of the local facilities available for wheelchair users or guests with other disabilities. Drop box photo gallery available.
We have also received disability training and some staff are qualified in Makaton and BSL level 1 sign language.
