The Moffat House is steeped in history. This landmark home was built in 1905 and marked the city limits at that time.
For over 50 years Dr. Agnes Moffat, Peterborough’s first female doctor, lived here with her husband Dr. Rusty Magee, a renowned and innovative surgeon. Guests were lavishly entertained in a movie theatre, housed in the basement viewing home movies of their world-wide travels. Robertson Davies, among others, was a favourite and frequent visitor to the home.

Dundela Suite
The Dundela Suite is a world apart, complete with luxurious queen size bed, cozy pullout double bed, floor to ceiling windows, sitting room, desk and a spacious ensuite bath with heated floor, a large two person soaker tub and a double shower.
Moffat Suite
Step back in time and imagine what it must have been like in the original master bedroom. Graced with an Italian marble fireplace, queen size bed and ensuite bath, it also has a convenient, connected sitting room with a single pullout sofa.
This luxurious suite is as splendid today as it was then, tastefully decorated to create an ambience of comfort and elegance.
Luscombe Suite
The luxurious queen size bed plus single pullout sofa will accommodate guests preferring separate beds. This lovely room also has its own ensuite bath.
Summer Room
A guest favourite, this room at the top of the house is decorated in soft yellow and blue and has a lovely view of the sweeping gardens outside.
