Welcome to Danum House. Here you will find all the information you need to book your stay in our tranquil haven in the heart of Fremantle. We offer a two bedroom, two bathroom self catered apartment with comfortable living area and fully equipped kitchen. All the rooms have beautiful character features in this 1905 federation style building, with its own private entrance, securely separated from the main house.
Danum House provides a peaceful haven only a short walk from the many attractions of bohemian Fremantle. The property has recently been fully refurbished and we now offer a self catered, two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, with lounge/dining/kitchen (we previously offered 3 separate rooms as B&B). There is a washing machine/drier and both bedrooms have access to the veranda and outside eating/bbq area and garden. Both bedrooms have queen sized beds, 40″ TV and DVD, bar fridge, chairs, bedside cabinets, a desk and free wifi. The dining/kitchen/lounge area has a fully equipped kitchen as well as comfortable sofas and a 40″ TV and DVD player.
All rooms have reverse cycle air conditioning, providing heating in winter and cooling in summer.
Rooms
The apartment area of our house was built in 1905 and all the rooms feature high (3.5m) ceilings, beautiful cornices and period fireplaces. During 2017 the guest areas have all been renovated. All have different features and characteristics.
The guest areas are separated from the rest of the house by a 3ft thick wall and locked door so you will not be disturbed and can be assured of privacy in the apartment which has its own entrance.
Kookaburra bedroom
This bedroom’s features include: large ensuite shower/toilet, with washing machine/drier: air conditioning; a queen sized bed four poster bed chairs and desk; 40″ TV and DVD; bar fridge; kettle with tea and coffee options; fireplace; large wall mirror; iron/ironing board; and free Wifi. The room has access to the veranda and front garden sitting areas. The 3.5m high ceilings and newly installed whisper quiet reverse cycle air-conditioning keep the room a comfortable temperature all year round.
Pelican bedroom
The Pelican bedroom features a Queen sized bed, bedside cabinets and lamps, wardrobe, chairs and desk, bar fridge, kettle with tea and coffee, 40″ TV, DVD, iron/ironing board and free Wifi. The room is very light with a large bay window overlooking the gardens and a second door accessing the veranda (shared) and front gardens. The room has a private bathroom a few steps away and we The 3.5m high ceilings and newly installed whisper quiet reverse cycle air-conditioning keep the room a comfortable temperature all year round.
Lounge/Kitchen/Dining
Our two bedroom, two bathroom apartment also has a very comfortable living room which features a full kitchen, dining for four people and two comfortable sofas with 40″ TV and DVD. The room has heating and air conditioning. The kitchen includes microwave, cooker, and induction hob (cooktop), with all cooking utensils, plates, pans and cutlery.
