Description
Montargen, which is old french and means mountain of silver, is a beautiful private property set in 3.1 hectares (7.8 acres) of landscaped grounds on the slopes of a secluded valley on the outskirts of the ancient village of Saint-Maurin in South West France. The main property is the Manoir, a large 13th century farmhouse. “La Séoune” and “Le Sempesserre” (named after local rivers) are the two accessible self-catering holiday gites converted from the property’s guest house. This property is thought to have been built at a later date, possibly during the French revolution in the late 18th century to serve as a staging post for horseback travellers and messengers.
The gites have been designed to the highest standards including accessibility and have been equipped with very special features for the disabled, less able (reduced mobility/PMR) and elderly, so that all the family can holiday together without differentiation. See our accessibility statement and property profiles on the website for details of all of the accessible features, and see also the list of available accessible equipment.
Will the host be living at the property during a stay?:
