The Meat & Wine Co in Hawthorn East is located in the heritage-listed bank site, a landmark location on the busy and vibrant Camberwell Junction. A modern steakhouse restaurant, Meat & Wine Co. serves refined, bold dishes with international influences. For meat lovers, Meat and Wine have launched their own Monte Beef brand, sourced from premium breeders of Angus cattle, carefully reared and grazed on selected farms throughout Australia and monitored from ‘the paddock to the plate'.
The heritage brick building that houses The Meat & Wine Co contrasts the structured glass Aerial apartments that surround it. Every element was custom designed, from the detailed concrete and metal claddings, warm solid timber and reference to the restaurant's African heritage through patterns, textures and artefacts. The open kitchen in the centre of the space adds a sense of theatre to the dining experience.
