We stayed here for 5 days during recent holidays. The main house is accessible through the ground floor, with just one step at the entrance for which they have an effective wooden ramp. I don’t think there’s a lift to other floors, but all the common areas – Reception, the piano room, the bar and the restaurant are all the ground floor and accessible without steps. The Lake House is a modern building and has level access to both floors – you can park very close to the entrance to either floor and then have level access to any room. We didn’t stay in a designated accessible room but found the Lake House rooms good for us anyway – we took our own shower seat which worked well in the large wet-room style shower and we could park so close to our room. he rooms are spacious with plenty of room for a wheelchair user to move around. There is at least one accessible room in the Lake House, which presumably has all the other aids – bars by the toilet etc. The only drawback with staying in the Lake House is that the short road connecting it to the main building has a significant gradient and has some very aggressive speed-bumps that would be difficult for many wheelchair users.
