We stayed recently at this hotel. Asked for accessible room and got one on ground floor luckily. Access through the reception area is wide and flat – perfect for a wheelchair or frame user. The room is off a wide corridor just a short walk from reception area. The room itself is large and refurbished to a modern subtle scots theme. There are 2 × 3 feet wide single beds which could be combined to make a superking. But the main feature of excellence is the bathroom. It has large activity space and is fitted with modern fixtures. Immediately to the left upon entry is a hand basin which has a handy large vertical grab bar to the side. At the far end of the bathroom is a WC with drop down hand rail. On the other side of the handrail and immediately adjacent to it is a shower head with a drop down wall seat. Since it’s is a wet room there’s no shower enclosure so you can manoeuvre the wheelchair or frame close to the hand rail/ drop down seat easily and safely. Staff was highly attentive and helpful.
