On the positives side its a important building of huge historic significance to the area and thankfully still open to the public and there is a mix of social and military history on offer here, various rooms around the fort are dedicated to different things. Now comes on the negative side disabled access is terrible, no attempt is made to adjust for poor disabled access so dont bother visiting if you have a wheelchair or very poor mobility. It’s a lot of steps so disabled visitors would not find any of it easy. Friendly staff, clean vacilities. Although we didn’t go in, the cafe looked small but clean. Overall Disabled access is very limited which is a shame, but this could change in the future.
