I’m in a powered wheelchair, and booked a disabled room. On arrival, we were offered a normal room after communicating with staff they have converted to disabled room. First impression was very very bad to me. Entry through the doorways was tight, but manageable, and the room was just about big enough. The bed was, of course, a double rather than two singles, but I knew in advance that I’d have that problem. The real difficulties were with the bathroom. I couldn’t get my wheelchair in it. instead of being a wet room it had a bath; and I couldn’t get into the bath. The staff, however, were superb. In view of the bathroom problems, we’ll be looking for other hotels when we return to the area. Will not recommend to anyone with disabiliy.
